5 Halloween craft ideas to do in your classroom14 October 2024 | Admin Halloween is just around the corner and to help you prepare for spooky season, we selected 5 craft ideas for you to try in your classroom. They are all simple and easy activities with few materials needed. Check it out: - Pumpkin Painting
If carving pumpkins doesn’t appeal to you, don’t worry, we have a cute and easy alternative, why not try painting them to create spooky creatures. One of our favourites is the pumpkin skeleton and the witch black cat.
For this craft you will need: - Pumpkins
- Paint
- Cardstock
- Glue
- Witch’s Hat
How to make it: Stack two pumpkins together, for better stability, you might need to remove the stock on the bottom one, so it stands still perfectly. Paint the pumpkins white (for the skeleton version) or black (for the cat version). We recommend using acrylic paint as it dries faster and it’s easy to clean. Once it’s dry, you can start to add fun details. For the skeleton pumpkin, you can use black paint to draw the bones and eyes. For the Black cat, use green or range paint for eyes (to give a spooky look) and pink for the nose. Then for the final touches, use black cardstock to cut out the cat’s ears and whiskers. Use clear glue to secure it in place.
